Background

Susan has been working in garden design since 1995, having completed her training in the States. After moving to London, Susan began working on small residential jobs in the South-East of the city; transforming neglected gardens into flourishing and purposeful spaces.

Her client list grew through word-of-mouth and, while maintaining residential gardens, her business expanded into the public sphere. Susan worked with schools and the council on the management of their grounds for many years. She has always worked quite independently, but has a network of industry contacts for hardscaping, green infrastructure and the likes.

Susan is proud to have developed long-lasting relationships with her clients, many of which she has had for over twenty years.

Today, her focus on design is ever present and she is particularly excited about inspiring projects to which she can bring her own unique style to meet the needs of her clients.

‘In London, every inch of outdoor space should be treasured. It is  sometimes difficult to see the potential in one’s own garden. I try to offer people a lens through which they can see new possibilities.’

‘When it comes to garden design, I find it most important to create a space which is authentic and reflective of the client’s way of living.’
